It is with a Heavy Heart that the Leadership of Sea and Sun Camp announces the cancellation of Camp 2020. The expected continuation of Social Distancing beyond our Camp weekend prevents us from being able to conduct camp in a manor that will benefit our Campers. Plans are already underway to make the 2021 Camp, which will be our 25th Anniversary, the BIGGEST and BEST Ever! Please check back for more details.
Children ages 5 to 16 years old are eligible to participate. All campers must meet the Mississippi State Department of Education requirements to receive visual impairment services. Sea and Sun Camp accepts applications regardless of race, color, religion, sex or national origin for participation.

For children to interact with their visually impaired peers and allow every child to participate in every activity.
To increase self-esteem, create smiles and provide a weekend of life's beautiful experiences.
Sea and Sun Camp began on the 3rd weekend of May, 1997 with a Pledge of Allegiance by the Campers and counselors. More than a year in the planning saw the dreams of a few dedicated individuals, from the Biloxi Lions club, come to fruition. SeaShore Methodist Assembly was home base for Sea and Sun the first 8 years of our existence.
A mere 3 years later, the Lions of Mississippi would approve Sea and Sun Camp as a Statewide Activity and began providing funding. Biloxi Lions Sea and Sun Camp was now Lions of Mississippi Sea and Sun Camp.
6 more years would pass and the next big step for Sea and Sun Camp came with the Incorporation of the Camp and a designation by the IRS that we qualified as a 501c(3) Not for Profit. Funding opportunities expended and grant opportunities became available.
Just a few months after our 9th camp, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Mississippi Gulf Coast and created an opportunity for us to move to Camp Wilkes. We may never leave. Smile!
We are now Sea and Sun Camp, Inc. Local Philanthropist companies such as AT&T Pioneers, Beau Rivage Casino Resort, Peoples Bank, and so many others are now participating by contributing funds and volunteers.
Now in our 3rd decade of serving the families of children with disabilities, we look forward to many decades of smiles to come.
If you would like to help us continue providing this 'one of a kind' life experience for these children, we have provided this button to make donations via SQUARE. Thank You for your consideration! Sea & Sun Camp Inc, is a 501 c(3) Not for Profit Corporation. Donations are considered tax-deductible for charitable purposes.
